Storage Container Donated By NOHVA

A twenty foot storage container was donated by the Nebraska Off Highway Vehicle Association (NOHVA) for use at the Nebraska National Forest by the Thedford Rescue Squad.

The container will house the new ATV and rescue trailer donated by Kearney Yamaha.  The container will be placed on land leased by the Nebraska State 4-H camp.

The cost of the container was $1500 and was paid for with voluntary membership fee's paid by NOHVA members.  A "conex" type storage container was used because of the water-tight, wind resistant, vermin proof, and moveable design.

The Thedford Rescue Squad arranged to have the container picked up in western Iowa and delivered to Thedford.  The rescue squad will clean up the container and paint it.

This project is an example of how various groups can co-operate and work together to improve services to the public.

So far this year (2003), NOHVA members have proved over $25,000 in funding for trails projects and services in Nebraska.  About $13,000 has been used for projects at the Nebraska National Forest.
